Google Terms & Conditions

Thank you for your interest in the India Get Your Business Online (“IGBO”). Google Inc and its affiliates (“Google”) have worked in collaboration with a number of partners, including Tecsys Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (also known as “Hostgator”) and Federation of Indian Micro and Small and Medium Enterprises (FISME), to provide IGBO related tools and services posted at Indiagetonline.in (the “IGBO Site”). We hope you enjoy using them. These terms and conditions are a contract between you and Google and apply to your use of the IGBO Site.They do not apply to your use of any services offered by Hostgator or any other services provided by partners of Google.

These are the terms and conditions which govern your participation as a user of IGBO. You will be deemed to have accepted them if you use any of the services offered through the IGBO Site.

The key service offered through IGBO is the ability for you, if you are a business to:

set up a website for the use of your business;
associate that website with a website address (“domain name”) for free;
if you opt in as part of the sign-up process, have that website automatically added to Google Places (as a business listing in Google Maps).

In each case, your use of services provided by Hostgator and other partners will be solely governed by the terms and conditions of use of Hostgator and other partners, and are set out here for ease of reference. Google is not responsible for providing these services to you, and you will need to check in each case that you are happy with the service and the terms and conditions of service of Hostgator and other partners before using those services.

Free website creation, domain name and hosting.

To create a website through IGBO, you will need to click on ‘Create my free website now’ and follow the sign up process.

You will receive a free domain, website and hosting from Hostgator for the period of 12 months.
After 12 months, Hostgator will offer you the ability to enter into a further contract for the services (subject to Hostgator continuing to provide the services beyond the initial 12 months and Hostgator’s terms and conditions).
Your agreement with Hostgator for the services they will provide is bound by their terms and conditions which can be found here
You may also have the option to use services provided by Google. The use of those services will be governed by Google’s terms and conditions.
You may also have the option to use services provided by other partners. The use of those services will be governed by the partner’s applicable terms and conditions.

Restrictions

You agree not to:

Use the web site creation service or domain name registration service for any purpose other than to promote your business;
- Ask for more than one free domain name through the IGBO Site;
- Knowingly permit anyone to ask for a second domain name to promote the same business;
- Use your free domain name for any other purpose than to promote your business;
- Sell your free domain name or the website created through the IGBO service for money or money’s worth, except in the context of selling your business as a going concern.
- Use any services provided by Hostgator, Google or any other partner in breach of any of the terms and conditions for the use of those services.
- The services and offers you receive through IGBO are not for resale and may not be sold or transferred unless the terms and conditions applicable to that service or offer expressly permit sale or transfer.
- You understand that these terms and conditions may also apply to the services offered by Hostgator and other partners, where they are incorporated into their terms and conditions.

Data protection and privacy

Any data including personal data which:
- you enter into a website run by Google (including Indiagetonline.in) will be held by Google subject to Google’s privacy policy ( also available here: http://www.google.com/intl/en/privacy/privacy-policy.html and
- you enter into a website run by Hostgator (including IGBO related pages) will be held by Hostgator subject to Hostgator’s privacy policy

iHostgator and Google may share this information with each other and trusted third parties involved in IGBO in order to provide the services offered under IGBO (including the site you create and the domain name you acquire).
Google, Hostgator and other trusted partners may, if you have given your consent in the sign up process, contact you to help you benefit from the service and provide information about other products and services that may be of interest to you.

When you request a free domain name, Hostgator is obliged to provide registrant details to Directi a company which administers .in and some other Indian domains. Directi will make those details available through a publicly accessible record called a “WHOIS” record, which you can find here.

This website is a cooperative effort between Google and Hostgator. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the IGBO site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
Google will use this anonymous user behaviour information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, to Hostgator or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. This means that Hostgator will be able to view anonymous user behaviour on this site. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
If you select to submit your details to Google Maps, we may use the data you provide to create a Google Places page for your business. You can find out more about the Google Places service by going here and, where a listing is created (or has already been created) you can verify your listing and claim your Google Places page by following the process on that site.

Changes and third party services

Google, Hostgator and other partners of IGBO reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to change, modify, add, or delete portions of these terms at any time without further notice. If this happens, the new terms will be posted on the IGBO Site.Your continued use of the site you have created via IGBO, or the IGBO Site after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
Google, Hostgator, and other partners of IGBO may change the IGBO Site and the services offered through it from time to time without liability to you. Google does not accept responsibility for or endorse any third party services offered through the IGBO Site.

Withdrawal of services.

If you use the IGBO Site or any of the services offered through the IGBO Site in contravention of these terms, or of any other terms referred to in these terms, or if you use them against the spirit of the IGBO campaign, the services you are being provided may be withdrawn from you.
Google, Hostgator and partners may end or suspend IGBO or the IGBO Site at any time at their sole discretion without any liability to you. This will not affect the existence of your site.

Customers who request to have their domain transferred or have the DNS updated on their domain during the initial free 1 year period will incur a onetime fee of Rs. 500 (plus applicable taxes) per domain transferred or updated.
